What conditions must I meet to rent a vehicle?
The driver must be over 25 years of age and have held a driving licence for more than 5 years.
At the time of departure, you will be required to pay a deposit by credit card. Here again, please refer to the vehicle descriptions, as conditions vary from vehicle to vehicle.

I've lost my driving licence. Can I hire a vehicle?
Only valid licences are accepted for car hire. We do not accept car hire from customers with a declaration of loss, a blank licence or a restricted licence.

Can I rent with a foreign licence?
We do not accept international permits on their own; these must be presented together with the permit from the country of origin. For foreign residents, an official document with a photograph and written in Roman characters must be presented at the time of departure.

Is it possible to rent without a credit card ?
Using a bank card takes all the administrative work out of the equation. This is why it is not possible to pay by cheque. Finally, for security reasons, we do not accept cash.

Can you explain the security deposit system ?
Before you leave, you will need to pay a deposit, by credit card only, depending on your rental.
The deposit is only cashed for rentals of more than 7 days. It is intended to cover any additional costs relating to your rental, whether in the event of damage, extra days or refuelling, for example. The amount varies according to the category of vehicle hired.

How are your vehicles insured ?
Our vehicles are insured by each dealer.
We invite you to contact your dealer to find out about all the basic and optional insurances and the relevant excesses.

Is it possible to take your vehicles out of France ?
It is possible to drive in all the countries mentioned on the green insurance card, as our vehicles are insured and assisted in these countries. However, before any trip abroad, we ask you to let us know by email or at the time of departure.

Is it possible to return a vehicle outside your opening hours ?
It is not possible to return a vehicle outside our opening hours. Only the signature of the return form will terminate the rental.

How do I rent a car ?
3 ways to reserve a vehicle :
- Internet: With online availability you can reserve a vehicle 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.
- Phone: contacting your dealership by phone during opening hours. Find out the opening times and telephone number of your dealership
- At a dealership: visiting your dealership during opening hours. Find out the opening times and address of your dealership

What should you do in the event of an accident or damage ?
In the event of an accident or damage, please contact our Customer Service directly, and then our assistance team if the vehicle is no longer roadworthy.

What to do in the event of a breakdown ?
In the event of a breakdown or technical fault, pull over to the side of the road and contact our Customer Service immediately. They will diagnose the fault or fault and give you the procedure to follow.

Am I liable for any offences committed during my rental period ?
Renting a vehicle does not absolve you from respecting the highway code. For this reason, we ask you to respect it to the letter. In application of article L.121-3 of the highway code, Jaguar & Land Rover RENT will be required to communicate your details to the police court, which will send you a notice of fine.
