  • Why has my bank refused my deposit ?

It is likely that you have reached your monthly payment limit on your bank card. We advise you to contact your bank a few days before collecting the vehicle to increase your payment limit.

  • What is the monthly payment limit on my bankcard ?

Even if you have sufficient funds in your account, the seizure of a deposit will be refused if you exceed a certain "ceiling" that has been allocated to you.
This limit is agreed between you and your bank when you open your account. It depends on your financial situation and the type of card you have.
There are several ceilings, the withdrawal ceiling and the payment ceiling. The payment ceiling is the one that can block payment of your security deposit when you leave. How does this limit work? It works by accumulating amounts over periods of 30 days. The chip on your bank card adds up, day by day, what you have paid over the last 30 days. If you exceed the ceiling for payments, your payment (or your security deposit) will be refused. It is therefore advisable to contact your bank a few days before your departure so that they can temporarily increase your bank card payment limit, so that you can pay your security deposit and then your expenses during your rental period.
  • Is the deposit taken from my bank account when I collect the vehicle ?

For all rentals of less than 7 days, the security deposit will be cashed from your bank account only in the event of damage to or non-return of the vehicle, or other costs associated with the rental (additional mileage, petrol charges, fines and offences, etc.).

You should, however, check that your credit card is not a debit card. In this case, you should check with your bank that it will not debit the security deposit. If this does happen, rest assured that the deposit will be refunded within 48 to 72 hours of your vehicle being returned undamaged.

It should also be noted that the security deposit is automatically deducted for all rentals of 7 days or more.

  • What is the security deposit ?

The security deposit is intended to cover any damage that may occur during your rental period, as well as any additional charges (extra kilometres, extra days, refuelling, etc.).

This will be charged to your credit card at the time of departure and will not be cashed in at that time. The amount varies according to the category of vehicle offered. Please contact your dealer for details.

The security deposit must be paid by the Hirer of the vehicle, using his/her own bank card in his/her full name (French law prohibits the transfer or lending of a bank card).

You will be asked to present a Premium card.
